light it up

Foyers, Powder Rooms and  Kitchen Nooks are great places to make a statement with a unique lighting fixture.  Flea markets and garage sales are great places to seek out bargains.  Transform them with paint or fun shades.  On the web you can find funky pieces from Anthroplogie or Ebay.  Sleek options from Overstock or Room and Board.  If you are local check out Patina on University for one of a kind vintage or Mod Livin on Colefax for a contemporary pendant.  Always put your lights on a dimmer even bathroom.  I have just about every light on a dimmer it allows you adjust the with the flick of the switch.  Enjoy!

The Onion. Ha! This would be great over a sarin table in the kitchen

Ooo la la! How is this for dramatic. The black is so unexpected

This would be the perfect punch for a powder room!

The size of the lantern is perfect for this foyer

I love these one of kind pieces from Henry Road. They would be a great vintage style accent on a powder room

I love this light fixture the color is so powerful, I also love how the color is repeated on the striped floor!

This is perfect for a foyer. I like switching out the bulbs instead of your run of the mill chandelier style.

This is so sugary sweet!

The Galbraith and Paul fabric on this drum light is hand blocked. Lovely!

These look like christmas ornaments strung up with fishing tackle. I'm sure the reflective quality is wonderful at night. Be creative with your lighting, don't over look and everyday object that could be transformed.

Great contrast

Even your launry room could use some light!

It's doesn't always have to be a chandelier. This is a great sconce for the foyer
