tuesday’s find

January 31, 2012

Love this little sofa from Urban Outfitters. It’s totally affordable ($579.00)and it comes in a pretty blue that would work in so many color schemes.  I love it for the bedroom as a place to throw your clothes. Ha ha! How cool would this be in a college dorm in lieu of a not so cool futon. So chic!

It used to come in other colors but it looks like the blue is it for now.

A little something

Here’s another little something I’m just about to complete. Just a few little odds and ends left to wrap up. This place a got a huge overhaul. Picture blue and yellow french provincial before to this updated greys and greens. The sofa and ottoman were custom.  The barrel chairs were vintage picks from the flea this summer that were painted and recovered. LOVE the way they turned out. The drapes and valances were custom and slipcovers for the parsons chairs were custom as well. Most everything else was off the rack or vintage and I just love the way it turned out!

Had no kids or husband I would live it up in this girly palace. It is right up my alley, pink, soft blues and white. Lot’s of white. I just love it!

On to the next project

January 25, 2012

Well I’m still not done with the first (the bath). My chatty tile guy is taking a bit longer than expected ie: I’ll be there at 7:30 and here we are at 7:45. Ugh! It will be a miracle if he is done my Friday. At least he is doing a great job!  So mentally I’m moving onto the next project….the patio. It need a major overhaul. Torn up, regraded, gutter spouts buried.  Oh yeah and maybe remove a GIANT tree that site in the middle of my cute little courtyard.  Here are some pics to inspire the design.

I'd love to use some real furniture for the patio covered in outdor fabrics
