Yes fabric can go on the walls and it can be spectacular!

Ballard has a great step by step on how to do it yourself!

Joie de vivre

October 15, 2012

Joy of living; Enjoyment of life; ebullience

I love the expression joie do vivre… Sometimes I feel like I get caught up in in all and need to remember that it’s all about enjoying time. We had our power go off for most of the day on Sunday. It turned into such a nice simple day. Hope you had a great weekend too!

In case you missed it…

The new Lonny is live. ¬†And I love Lonny, they are so good at conveying images that are some normal and “real life” If you really look at these images you can see the Ikea table with the vintage rug. Or the off the rack cabinets with high-end lights. It’s the art of mixing all those things together so that you create a place that is distinctly yours. It’s a curated look of objects that have meaning to you. Call me if you need help pulling it all together it’s one of my favorite parts!

Crazy for Cobalt

October 10, 2012

Happy hump day! I spent some time at the Design Center and couldn’t resist picking up a color lots of fabrics that were saturated with the most beautiful cobalt blue. It’s not navy it’s not royal its a little in between. This might be a my new color and I’ll have to find a way to thread it into my house. Love!

Pumpkins

October 8, 2012

Have you decorated for “fall” ? I love the mums and white pumpkins but when you have kids they like to take it to the next level so I have some cute polka dot ghosts and giants spiders crawling on my house. If you are decorating for fall sans spiders you know its way to early to carve your pumpkins but there are still many fun ways to decorate with them that does not involve cutting them up. I love the idea of giving them a fresh coat of paint!
