Finally caught an episode of Million Dollar Designer last night. Ugh! Holy crap are this the most obnoxious people on earth?  It’s crazy what they spend on things and call it a bargain.  “Oh my god this is amazing” jeeez! If I heard that one more time I wanted to puke. Of course it’s amazing it cost a bazillion dollars. But I must they are hilarious. They have SUPER demanding clients they whine and complain but ultimately are happy when these creative designers work their magic. I wish I had a million dollar budget… oh the things I would do. Till then I’m very happy to help those who have a REALISTIC budget and hope to make their home amazing too!

I have a full on obsession with swedish style interiors right now.  All the washed linens, painted finishes and soothing pale tones. Designer Shannon Bowers of Dallas Texas used this style to transform her once dark and dreary home into a beautiful calm and serene place to relax and showcase her fabulous collection of antiques. Hope you enjoy it as much as I do!

I love the work of Kimberly Ayres. It’s fresh and pretty . It’s sophisticated but not to stuffy. It’s airy and most certainly not over done. Her use of color is restrained but the punches have great impact.  Most of all is beautiful.  Hope you enjoy her work too.

The talented Christina Murphy was named one of America’s Top 100 designers and rightfully so. She has a daring approach to design that is showcased through unique pieces that punctuate each room.  Her style is a fun and modern, using glossy surfaces and playful patterns but they are grounded by some more traditional touches. Love it!  Her portfolio is making me want to move back to NYC and reside in on of these fabulous abodes.
