It’s no secret that emerald has been hot since this fall. So hot that Pantone named it the color for the year for 2013.

I must admit this super saturated glowing green has never made it into my wardrobe or design schemes as of yet but this inspiring pics make me want to add this to the repertoire.  I love it simply paired with black and white or add it to some neutral with a pop of yellow, orange or turquoise. Do you do emerald green?

Lush and Green

Love the grey and white theme dotted with a pop of green in this home. The charcoal grey cabinets are amazing…making me want to throw a coat of shiny grey on mine and contrast it with some white subway. I also love the green,it seems everything in my neighborhood is this exact green right now and makes me what to freeze time and keep it this green forever. Or is that just called Florida??

a hint of lime

October 10, 2011

Here’s a little lime green inspriation for a reader who is looking to redo her bedroom with hints of lime, white and black. Enjoy! Any other reader request let me know!

Love this, the lime comes in little accents, not overwhelming and beautifully balanced with the pale grey.

Now this is just fun! The bright green door is a bold move but totally works with the black and white wallpaper.

Lime green on the walls could work too with a white stencil over the top. Don’t do the whole wall. This works because it’s just the top half of the room.

Check out the great wall treatment in this room too.

The highgloss laquer works to elevate the look of this!

back to blogging

May 31, 2011

Sorry  I missed you all last week I needed a little blogging break to smell the roses, play with my girls and catch up on stuff. Hope you all had a wonderful weekend and got a little time in the sun. It was a bit chilly for swimming here but I ran the girls to the pool yesterday afternoon and they were popsicle by the time we left. I am really excited for summer to start I’m just hoping it warms up!!

keep it green

August 19, 2010

Ha tricked ya! No this post has nothing to do with green in the environmental sense but it is my desire to keep it green for a bit longer. Before you know it we will be covered  in golds, reds, and oranges of fall. So for now I’d like it to be green.
